Raymond-Knowles Elementary School
Welcome to Raymond-Knowles Elementary School

We are a single-school district located in the town of Raymond, situated in the Sierra foothills of Eastern Madera County. The district encompasses 196.7 square miles of sparsely populated foothills.
Currently, eighty (80) students are enrolled in grades kindergarten through eighth grade and are served by four teachers assigned to multi-grade classrooms, one Community Day School Teacher, and one Title I Teacher. One school and district secretary, one site administrator (principal/superintendent), and two maintenance workers/bus drivers provide support to the educational program.
Eighty percent (80%) of the classrooms are housed in temporary buildings. Each classroom is equipped with Internet-connected computers. A one-to-one laptop program has been implemented for 6th-8th grade students. The governing board is a group of publicly elected volunteers that are stakeholders within the community and are active in the school program. We provide an after-school enrichment program through Club YES (by way of a grant administered by Madera County Office of Education.)
